The short version
We collect what you tell us and what we need to run the practice, and very little else. We do not sell your information, we do not trade it to advertisers, and we do not run advertising or remarketing trackers on this site. Because of the nature of our work, we treat the simple fact that you are a client or a member as sensitive information, and we protect it accordingly. Bliss Compass, the chat on this site, keeps chats for 90 days so we can improve it, then deletes them, and you never need to give it your name. Tickets to the Festival and Summit are sold on a partner's website, and that purchase is covered by their privacy policy rather than this one. You can ask us what we hold about you and ask us to delete it, whatever state you live in.
The rest of this page is the detail.
1. Who we are
Bliss Boogie Production, LLC, doing business as Bliss Boogie, at 218 Snow Ave, Raleigh, NC 27610, is responsible for the information described here.
Reach us at Blissboogieinfo@gmail.com or (912) 713-3879.
This policy covers blissboogie.com and everything we do through it: bookings, memberships, mentorship and training, our newsletter, and our conversations with you by email, text, or chat.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and enquiry details. Your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write to us — through a form on this site, the chat window, email, or text.
- Bliss Compass chats. What you type into Bliss Compass, the chat on this site, and its replies. If you use "Contact a human" in the chat, we also receive the details you enter there, such as your name and how to reach you, and a short summary of what you asked about. See section 8.
- Booking and session information. When you book, our scheduling platform collects your name, contact details, appointment type and time, and whatever you enter on the intake form. That can include health information relevant to the session, such as injuries, conditions, pregnancy, or medications.
- Membership application answers. The application asks about your interests, experience, and intentions. We read them to decide on the application.
- Purchase information. What you bought and when, and the last four digits and expiry of the card used. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processor and never reach us.
- Account information. If you create an account on this site: your name, email address, login credentials, and your order history.
- Newsletter signup. Your email address, and whether you opened or clicked an email.
- Anything else you choose to tell us. Some people share a great deal in a first message. We do not need it to book you, and we treat whatever you send with the same care as everything else.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data through Google Analytics: pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser, device type, how you arrived at the site, and how the chat is used (see section 8).
- A quick check, run by Cloudflare when you send your first chat message, that you are a person and not an automated program.
- Cookies set by our website platform and by analytics. See section 7.
- Server logs kept by our hosting platform, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
We do not buy personal information about you from data brokers, and we do not enrich what you give us with outside data.
3. Sensitive information, and how we treat it
This part matters more here than on most websites, so we are being specific.
Bliss Boogie works with sexuality, intimacy, and the body. That means the bare fact that you contacted us, booked a session, joined the club, or bought a festival ticket can reveal something private about your sex life, your relationships, or your orientation, before you have told us anything at all. Some intake answers are health information. We treat all of it as sensitive, and we hold ourselves to these commitments:
- We never sell it, and we never share it for advertising. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, and not for cross-context behavioral advertising or audience matching of any kind.
- We do not run advertising or remarketing trackers on this site. No advertising pixels, no retargeting tags, no conversion tags for ad platforms. We use analytics only, to understand how the site is used.
- We do not publish or share client and member lists, and we do not confirm to anyone that you are a client or a member.
- We keep our messages discreet. Email and text from us goes out under the Bliss Boogie name, without explicit subject lines or previews, so a notification on your lock screen does not disclose anything about you.
- Access is limited to Kai Baylis, the small number of people who help run scheduling and admin, and the web partner who builds and runs Bliss Compass, each only where their role requires it.
- We do not photograph or identify you in anything public without your written permission.
If you would rather we hold less, tell us. We can take a booking with the minimum we need to see you, and you can leave optional intake questions blank.
4. How we use your information
- To answer you, and to schedule, prepare for, and deliver sessions, memberships, and programs.
- To answer your questions through Bliss Compass, and to read saved chats so we can improve it.
- To take payment and keep the records a business is required to keep.
- To keep the bodywork records a licensed massage and bodywork therapist in North Carolina is required to keep.
- To send you the emails and texts you asked for, and to tell you about changes to something you booked.
- To keep our spaces safe, which includes acting on conduct or safety concerns.
- To understand how this site is used, so we can make it work better.
- To meet legal obligations, and to protect our rights or someone's safety when we have to.
We do not make any decision about you by automated means. Bliss Compass answers questions automatically, but it does not decide anything about you, and we do not profile you for advertising.
5. Who we share it with
We share only what a service provider needs to do its job for us, under its own privacy terms. Our providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing. We also share information where the law requires it, where we have to respond to a subpoena or court order, or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety. If our business is ever sold or reorganized, client information may transfer with it, and this policy continues to apply until we tell you otherwise.
For Bliss Compass, those providers are OpenAI, which writes the chat's replies from the messages you type; Cloudflare, which hosts Bliss Compass and runs the check that you are a person; our email delivery provider, which carries the messages you send through the chat to our inbox; and the web partner who builds and runs Bliss Compass.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not disclose the content of your sessions to anyone. The narrow limits on that are in section 9 of our Terms of Service, and they are the same limits that apply to any licensed practitioner in North Carolina.
6. Festival and Summit tickets are handled by someone else
Tickets to the Bliss Boogie Festival and the Bliss Boogie Summit are sold on a website run by our event partner, Unbound, using their own checkout and their own payment account. If you buy a ticket there, that purchase, your payment details, and your place on the buyer list live in their systems, and their privacy policy applies, not this one.
We receive an attendee list from them so we can run the event — names, ticket types, and any access needs you told them about. Once it reaches us, we handle it under this policy.
To exercise a privacy right over a ticket purchase, contact the seller you bought it from. If you are not sure who that is, ask us and we will point you to them.
7. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies to run the site and to understand how it is used. Necessary cookies keep the site working — they hold your cart and your login. Analytics cookies tell us which pages people read.
Analytics cookies stay off until you accept them through the banner on the site. You can change your mind at any time through the banner, and you can control cookies through your browser settings. Where your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as a request to turn analytics cookies off, and we honor it.
We use Google Analytics with advertising features and data sharing turned off, and we do not use it to build advertising audiences.
Bliss Compass does not set cookies of its own. It remembers your conversation in that browser tab until you close it, so the chat stays with you as you move between pages. Its usage events go only through the site's Google Analytics, so they are sent only when you have accepted analytics cookies.
8. Bliss Compass, the chat on this site
Bliss Compass is an automated assistant that answers questions about our offerings and events. It is not a person, and it is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988, or call 911.
- What we keep. Chats are kept for 90 days so we can improve Bliss Compass, then deleted. Saved chats are stored encrypted, and people on the Bliss Boogie team, and the web partner who runs Bliss Compass, may read them for that reason. You never need to share your name to ask a question. Please share only what you are comfortable with.
- Messages to our team. If you use "Contact a human", what you enter and a short summary of your question reach us by email. Bliss Compass deletes its own copy after 90 days.
- Analytics. Google Analytics records how the chat is used: when it is opened, which topic is chosen, which offerings it suggests, and which buttons are clicked. It never records what you type or what the chat replies.
- Technical logs. Our systems keep short technical records, such as that a reply was sent and how long it took. They never contain what you or the chat wrote.
- Deleting a chat sooner. Email Blissboogieinfo@gmail.com with the approximate date and time of your chat, and we will delete it.
9. Email and text messages
We only email or text you if you asked us to, or if we are replying to you or confirming something you booked.
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Reply STOP to any text and the texts stop. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Giving us your number for a booking does not put you on a marketing text list — that takes a separate opt-in, and agreeing to it is never a condition of booking or buying anything.
10. How we protect it
- Information travels to and from this site over an encrypted connection.
- We use multi-factor authentication on the accounts that hold client information.
- Access is limited to the people whose role requires it, and removed when a role ends.
- Saved Bliss Compass chats are encrypted, and only named people can open them, after signing in with a one-time code.
- We do not keep information we do not need, and we do not keep client details in shared documents or spreadsheets.
- Paper intake forms, where we use them, are kept locked.
No system is perfect. If something happens that affects your information, we will tell you without unnecessary delay, and within whatever timeframe North Carolina law requires.
11. Where your information is held
We are in North Carolina, and our service providers store information in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed here.
12. Your choices and your rights
Whatever state or country you live in, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and where it came from.
- Give you a copy of it, in a form you can use.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it, unless we are required to keep it — a bodywork record or a tax record, for example. We will tell you which parts we have to keep and why.
- Stop marketing emails or texts.
- Limit how we use sensitive information.
We extend these rights to everyone rather than only to residents of states that require them, because drawing that line felt wrong for this practice.
How to ask. Email Blissboogieinfo@gmail.com and tell us what you want. We may need to verify who you are first, so that nobody else can ask for your file — usually by replying from the email address we already hold for you. We respond within 45 days. If we need longer we will tell you inside those 45 days and take no more than another 45.
If we say no. We will tell you why. You can ask us to reconsider by replying to that answer, and we will give you a decision within 45 days. If you are still unhappy, you can raise it with your state Attorney General's office.
Someone acting for you. An authorized agent can make a request on your behalf if they give us written permission from you and we can verify it.
No penalty, ever. We will not treat you differently, charge you more, delay your booking, or refuse to see you because you exercised a privacy right.
13. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area
Our services are offered from and delivered in the United States, and this site is not aimed at people outside it. If you contact us from the UK or the EEA anyway, we rely on the following legal bases: performing our contract with you, where you have booked something; your consent, for the newsletter and for analytics cookies; our legitimate interests, in running and securing the practice; and legal obligation, for records we are required to keep. Where we hold health or sex-life information, we rely on your explicit consent.
You also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, the right to data portability, and the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
14. Adults only
This site and everything we offer is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not offer accounts, bookings, or memberships to minors. If you believe a minor has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
15. Other websites
This site links to other websites, including our event partner's ticketing site and our scheduling platform. Once you follow a link, you are on their site under their privacy policy, and we are not responsible for what they do.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top shows when. If a change matters to you — a new tool that collects your information, or any change to what we do with it — we will say so on the site or by email rather than quietly changing the page. If we ever add an advertising or remarketing tracker, we will update this page before it goes live, because section 3 promises there is not one.
